New Studio Mate
I would like to introduce and welcome my new studio mate Junko Takashima. Junko has been a weaver for many years and has been experimenting with metal wire in her weaving to create 3 dimensional forms. Though Junko has been living in Canada for over 5 years, she has only recently been re-united with her loom after having it shipped over from Japan (happiness!)

Eastside Culture Crawl

Junko and I will be opening our studio to the public during the 14th annual Eastside Culture Crawl. This year the Crawl starts on Friday November 26th (5pm - 10pm) and runs through till Sunday November 28th (11am-6pm).
The Culture Crawl is an opportunity to visit artists and craftspersons studios on the eastside of Vancouver. With over 300 artists opening their doors to the public, it is probably the largest and most successful event of its kind in Vancouver.
You can find us weaving away at studio 10-B at 1310 William Street (corner of William and Clark Dr.) There are also over 20 other artists at this location doing everything from wire art installations to oil painting, photography, mixed media and textile design. I've always found "doing the Crawl" to be a fascinating and inspirational experience and I hope it is the same for you.
